The annual conference of the GAMM (Society for Applied Mathematics and Mechanics) took place in Magdeburg for the first time. With almost 1000 participants, it is one of the largest conferences in the field of mathematics and mechanics.

This year, we again offered the crane project as part of the Magdeburger Mathematik- und Maschinencamp Triple^M.

18 newly enrolled students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering competed against each other in eight teams to build a crane with the greatest possible lifting capacity and length from a metal construction kit. The best lifting force achieved this year was 21 N.
